Interview with Chairman of the Law Commission, Henry Brooke, who worked on the draft document upon which the Conservative Government’s domestic violence bill was based. Now the bill has been shelved after right-wing Tory bankbenchers complained that a part of the bill would undermine the sanctity of marriage, the part that gave unmarried couples the same rights as those legally bound together.
