- James Matthews interviews Yorkshire Detective Superintendent Ian Peacock about the hunt for a murder suspect known as David Kerr but named as Brian Newcombe. The telephone interview follows the murder of 88 year-old Jack Shuttleworth, in Ingleton, North Yorkshire, and 55-year-old Margaret McOnie, a widow whose body was found on moors near Tongue, Sutherland. The search for the murderer is being concentrated in Lancashire, after he was spotted in the seaside resort of Morecambe. (Brian Newcombe committed suicide while awaiting trial on 13/11/89). Broadcast on LBC AM programme.
