- Angus Moorat reports on the release of the kidnapped businessman, Victor Cracknell on 18/08/89. Thirty-two year old Cracknell was under threat of death if his family didn’t pay a million pound ransom. But after a big police operation and a voluntary news blackout by the media he was released after being held in Devon. Includes press interviews with Chief Constable Brian Hayes and Detective Superintendent John Milner. A Keith Rose was later charged with the kidnap. Broadcast on Radio Mercury.
