- Description
- James Bays interviews 17-year-old Simon Cooper, nephew of jailed British businessman Roger Cooper, who has been held in Iran on spying charge since 12/85. His family have made a plea to the Iranian authorities, via the Swedish embassy in Tehran, to allow him to come home for the funeral of Rosaleen Cooper, Roger’s mother, in Wimbledon. Seventeen year old Simon has offered to take his uncle’s place and act as a proxy hostage so Roger Cooper can attend the funeral, but he says it looks unlikely the exchange will go ahead.
