Mark Smith interviews British singer Helen Shapiro, coinciding with concerts with Humphrey Lyttelton and his band at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon. In recent years she has recorded and toured as a jazz singer and she talks about her love of the genre including the music of Duke Ellington. She also reminisces about her pop career which was launched when she was fourteen years old.
