- Description
- Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher has visited Northern Ireland and spoken at a Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) training centre on the outskirts of Belfast. She spoke with people directly affected by terrorist attacks, including police officers hurt in the Lisburn fun-run bomb attack in which six soldiers were killed. In Lisburn she met a hostile reception from loyalists who pelted her with eggs but she was full of praise for a shirt factory she visited on the outskirts of Londonderry. Report by Karen English. Broadcast on Downtown Radio.
