Description

Britain is to get a second national commercial radio station on the AM medium wave band, which may be all music, or entirely speech based. The Radio Authority, the body which regulates the independent radio industry, is now inviting applications. Peter Baldwin, the authority’s chief executive, has been telling Peter Deeley that stringent financial checks will be carried out on applicants.
