On the ambivalence over the UN’s future, its current cash crisis and calls for its bureaucratic reform, and on speeches by US President Bill Clinton, Russian President Boris Yeltsin and Cuban President Fidel Castro. Also on security arrangements, forthcoming summit on Bosnia between Yeltsin and Clinton, unwelcome presence of Castro, and UK Prime Minister John Major’s delayed arrival and meeting with Argentine President Carlos Mendes.
