In Gibraltar, Policemen P and Q have described how three IRA terrorists - Daniel McCann, Sean Savage and Mairead Farrell – were shot dead by SAS Soldiers A and B. Lawyer Michael Hucker(?) portrayed the shooting as a necessary reaction to the IRA members’ behaviour, whilst his opposite number, Paddy McGrawley(?), claimed the deceased were shot whilst trying to surrender. Gibraltar’s deputy police commissioner, Charle s Colombo(?), said that a lack of officers meant that civilians were not evacuated from the area around the car bomb. Kevin Murphy reports.
