Two of the most familiar names in the high street have announced plans to merge, forming the country’s largest financial services group. Between them Lloyds Bank and the TSB have total assets of around 140 billion pounds. Lloyds say if a successful agreement is reached, its shareholders would own about seventy percent of the new enlarged group. Lloyds and TSB customers in London share their views.
