Description
James Bays reports from the High Court in London where in a historic case Mr Justice Richard Rougier has ruled a woman can sue for damages over the murder of her daughter, even though no one has ever been convicted. The judge said evidence made him sure the killer of Lynn Siddons was Michael Brookes who has never been charged. It’s the first ever civil action involving a murder case where no one has been convicted. Lynn Siddons, 16, was found dead on the edge of the Trent and Mersey Canal, a mile from her home in Derby on 03/04/78. Includes press interviews with Gail Halford, mother; Flo Siddons, grandmother; Jane Deighton, solicitor.
