Description

Simon Israel interviews health minister Stephen Dorrell following the publication of a study by the King Edward’s Hospital Fund, entitled The Nation’s Health: A Strategy for the 1990s. Among recommendations are a series of health targets including a reduction in the number of smokers by the year 2000. The Government agrees measures should be taken to counter the harmful effects of smoking but Dorrell says targets should be realisitic.
