Des Fahy reports on a visit to Czechoslovakia by UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. At a press conference in Bratislava she tells reporters that now the old barriers between East and West Europe are destroyed, Czechoslovakia would find itself back in the centre of Europe and no longer on the fringes; and advised the newly democratic country to become a member of the EEC, get a market economy and join the Council of Europe.
