The inquest into the deaths of three IRA terrorists shot by SAS officers, Sean Savage, Daniel McCann and Mairead Farrell, begins in Gibraltar today amidst tight security. Coroner Felix Pizzarello will have to determine whether the IRA members were shot dead as they tried to surrender, as claimed by key witness Carmen Proetta; here her husband Maxi gives a different interpretation of events. Views on whether the SAS soldiers involved should give evidence from lawyer Stephen Bullock, and Patrick McGrory who is representing the families of the victims. Kevin Murphy reports from Gibraltar.
