Report on allegations of racism in Liberal Democrat local election leaflets. The Liberal Democrats in Tower Hamlets will meet today to decide whether to break away from the national party. Tower Hamlets Lib Dem Council Leader, Peter Hughes condemns Party Leader Paddy Ashdown for the way he dealt with the issue, and Labour leader Jack Straw comments on the situation, which he claims will have to be investigated by the police. Lord Lester, author of a report on the matter, describes the behaviour of the Liberal Democrats, and says Labour are being hypocritical. David Kermode reports.
