- Description
- A mysterious virus which is killing thousands of seals in the North Sea has sparked debate. Environment Minister, Virginia Bottomley says that Britain is clean when it comes to pollution, but Conservative MEP, Paul Howell disagrees, claiming that Britain dumps more rubbish in the North Sea than any other European country. Labour opposition and South Shields MP, Dr David Clark says a government inquiry into the death of the seals is a matter of urgency as it could eventually put human lives at risk. Report by Robin Bailey.
