- Description
- Sue Jameson joins Mike Carlton on his show on the line from Moscow to talk about food problems in the Soviet Union as the vote took place today to breakup the USSR. Jameson describes the experience of shopping in Moscow and high food prices; the poor food people are eating to stay alive; and the severe distribution problems, meaning not a lot of food reaches the shops. Famine is a possibility in the winter months. British aid is planned and hopes to improve the plight of the people.
