- Description
- Report on the trial at the Old Bailey of financial expert Roger Levitt of St Johns Wood, London. Along with his co-accused, Mark Reed (who was handed a slightly lighter sentence), Levitt was ordered to complete 180 hours of community service after he left banks and other clients (including his friend, the author, Frederick Forsyth) with nine million pounds’ worth of debt. Levitt gives a statement in which he says he is relieved yet sorry for his actions, and pledges to help his clients if possible. Louise Bennett, one of the clients whose money Levitt lost, says she is a victim of a man who got off too lightly. Peter Deeley reports from the Old Bailey. Broadcast on Angela Rippon FM Drivetime.
