- Tanya Hines reports following the conviction of boys Robert Thompson and John Venables of the murder of toddler James Bulger in Liverpool. Helen Bulger, grandmother of James, shows her sorrow. Susan Venables, mother, speaks through an actress about her son. Detective Superintendent Albert Kirby says the boys showed no sorrow for their crime and both were to blame (the parents each blamed the other boy for provocation) and they both came from broken homes. Anglican Bishop of Liverpool, the Right Reverend David Sheppard gives his opinion. Lawyer Mark Manley on where the boys might be held long term.
