Report on the trial of George Heron, found not guilty of murdering 7 year-old Nikki Allan - stabbed to death in Wear Garth estate, Sunderland last October - following confession evidence being ruled inadmissible. Parish priest Mark Gardner discusses the repercussions of the verdict. Police spokesman Barry Stewart on the confession made by Heron, and the officers involved, and appeals to the community for calm. Nikki’s family express their disgust outside court.
