- Description
- Press statement by US President, Bill Clinton, in which he says he is giving high priority to the return of the crew of an American military helicopter which crash-landed in North Korea. The Pentagon says the OH-58 helicopter with two servicemen on board was on a routine training mission from its base in South Korea. It came down four miles north of the de-militarised zone. (It was later revealed that one of the airmen, David Hilemon, was killed in the incident. The other crew member, Bobby Hall, was injured but survived).
