From Westminster Paul Rowley reports on genreally gloomy economic figures but a reduction in inflation. Financial Secretary Francis Maude is cautiously optimistic of economic recovery. Opposition parties are not impressed - Labour Party Treasury spokesman Paul Boateng and Liberal Democrat frontbencher Simon Hughes say the Government is not doing enough.
