Description

Alison Johns reports on the arrival home of John McCarthy, a British man held hostage in the Lebanon. McCarthy met Foreign Office minister Douglas Hogg and UN Secretary General Javier Perez de Cuellar at RAF Lyneham to hand over the demands of his captors, the Islamic Jihad group. McCarthy describes his role as messenger and believes the kidnappers want to end the hostage situation. Also comments on the news of release of hostage Edward Tracy. De Cuellar also comments.
