John Allen reporting on three protesters perched in a 150-year-old chestnut tree in Islington to prevent it being felled under a court order secured by the owners of a nearby house. Terry Herbert of Islington Council on having to go back to the court for extra time, and the council’s wish to save the tree. Protester Tom Chipco on saving an important Islington ecological landmark, and calling for further talks with owners Mr and Mrs Elliott.
