The Queen Mother is celebrating her 90th birthday by revisiting Canning Town and Tower Hamlets 50 years after her morale-boosting visits during the Second World War. Local residents remember the bombings that happened in their town and speak of the restoration work that has taken place since the Queen Mother’s last visit.
