Description

Peter Griffiths(?) reports on the fire on the Achille Lauro cruise ship off East Africa and subsequent rescue operation. Two passengers are dead with one still missing, the rest are being transferred to nearby ports. Many passengers were elderly. Includes interview on the fire and rescue with Carol Shaw, survivor, a Briton now living in South Africa, speaking from the radio room of Greek supertanker Keeos(?); and Starlight Travel Agency rep Sharon Sandy, who was on board.
