Description
Interview with Chief Superintendent Jim Swingewood of Coventry Police, on a fire bomb attack on Coventry’s main police station. Windows near the sleeping quarters were doused in petrol and set alight and two petrol bombs were hurled over a surrounding wall. Six officers were sleeping nearby but a WPC spotted the fire and raised the alarm. No one is claiming responsibility for the attack. Police are investigating a possible connection with the letter bomb addressed to the head of the West Midlands Police which exploded at Coventry’s main post office at Christmas 1988. Female reporter not identified. Broadcast on Mercia Sound.
