The Queen is leading the final celebrations in central London to mark victory in Japan fifty years ago at the end of the Second World War. Thousands of people, young and old, have packed Horse Guards Parade for a Beating the Retreat ceremony. Before the two-minute silence, the Queen gives a short speech.
