- The Case of the Bladed Knife. Recording of BBC TV investigative series Rough Justice, presented by Martin Young (from 14/04/82). Examines the killing of Francis McDonagh in Manchester in 1973. His brother Michael McDonagh and Michael’s son Patrick McDonagh were convicted, but the programme refers to new evidence casting doubt on the verdict. Speaking are: Francis’ widow Maureen McDonagh; Michael’s wife Rose McDonagh; local priest (not identified); local MP George Morton; eyewitnesses Mary Mullins, Sheila Ecclestone, and Clara Esty; Tom Sargant, Secretary of the organisation Justice. Programme produced by Peter Hill. The beginning of the recording is cut, ends abruptly.
