Description

Gareth Furby reports from Beijing on the continuing military and political crackdown on dissidents. Comments on the arrest of Zhou Fengsuo, a 22 year-old physics student at Qinghua University in Beijing, who was arrested in Xian, and was said to have been turned in by his sister and her husband. Xiong Yan, a graduate student of law at Beijing University, was also arrested. In the meantime, American journalists, John Pomfret and Alan Pessin were given three days to leave the country.
