Description

Developer Peter Palumbo is demolishing eight listed buildings in the city and building a modern office and restaurant complex. He has been given permission by Environment Secretary Nicholas Ridley. Campaigners to preserve historic buildings are planning to fight the decision in the High Court. But Palumbo says the site for his building is fertile ground for modern development.
