- Description
- In Westminster there has been a united front of MPs condemning the attacks on Chinese students in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square. Margaret Thatcher spoke of her utter revulsion and outrage at the shootings and told the House of Commons that normal business with China cannot continue while the Chinese authorities take action to crush the students in Beinjing. Neil Kinnock and Anthony Beaumont-Dark have their say on the subject; Paddy Ashdown claims the Prime Minister has not acted harshly enough. Elena Curti reports.
