Description

John Gripton reports on an armed siege in Newport, Gwent, where businessman Donald Stewart was held captive in his car at gunpoint for over 26 hours with a rope around his neck. He was shot in the hand before escaping. Includes recording of the gunman on a carphone to local radio station, Red Dragon; interview with Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Walters. (Roger Amos was later jailed for 12 years for kidnapping and shooting Stewart, his wife’s lover). For Billboard programme.
