The chairman of the public inquiry into the rail disaster at Clapham Junction in which 35 people were killed and over 130 injured says he believes British Rail is on the way to achieving a safer railway. His comments come on the final day of the inquiry. British Rail have claimed that the engineer behind the Clapham disaster was having a bad day. Margaret Shiels reports.
