Grant Ferrett(?) reports on the fatwa, issued by the late Ayatollah Khomeini on 14/02/89 against author Salman Rushdie, being upheld by a conference of British Muslims organised by the Muslim Institute. Includes speeches by Dr Kalim Siddiqui of the Muslim Institute; interview with Malise Ruthven, author of A Satanic Affair, who says several Muslim groups are competing for power in Britain and not all condemn Rushdie; also chanting at conference.
