- The decision to enforce a no-fly zone in Bosnia is announced by Prime Minister John Major in Parliament and receives a mixed response. With reaction from Labour Party leader John Smith; Conservative MP Peter Temple-Morris; Chairman of the Defence Select Committee Sir Nicholas Bonsor; former Defence Secretary Tom King. The Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has stated any aircraft shot down would be seen as an act of war and there have been around 100 breaches of the zone already. Report by Oni Bhattacharya.
