- Description
- Angry American relatives of the Lockerbie victims are staging a series of demonstrations all over the US, protesting against a party being thrown by Pan Am for the residents of the Scottish town. Its timing coincides with reports from West Germany that Pan Am staff are the subject of a criminal investigation. The reports follow allegations that on the fateful night last December, many Pan Am staff were at a Christmas party and failed to properly check baggage being loaded onto flight 103. Relatives’ spokeswoman, Johanna Hesami says today’s party in Lockerbie is grossly insensitive, and amounts to a crude attempt to improve Pan Am’s image. Male interviewer not identified (poss. Simon Israel).
