Description

Report on an explosion at a flat in Hackney Road, Shoreditch, east London, possibly due to a gas leak. No one was injured, and the police and fire service attended, with the police suspecting a bomb because of a warning received by the Daily Mail. Includes interview with police spokesman David Rangecroft and eyewitness Maurice(?) Marson(?). Male reporter not identified. (Two bodies were later discovered in the burnt-out building).
