Description

Lecturer of Japanese literature at the University of California in Los Angeles, Professor Masao Miyoshi, was in Tokyo throughout the Second World War but after it ended moved to the United States. Here he recalls for Nick Wood? the events of the day the Americans dropped the first atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 08/45 as the world prepares to remember the bombings that occurred fifty years ago.
