- Description
- Anti-apartheid campaigner Nelson Mandela has been criticised ahead of his meeting with UK Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher for comments suggesting Britain should hold peace talks with the IRA. Journalist Benjamin Pogrund feels this will not influence Mandela’s talks on sanctions with Thatcher. Aziz Pahad also denies Conservative MP, Andrew Hunter’s claims of links between the ANC and the IRA. Labour leader Neil Kinnock and Conservative MP Ivor Stanbrook also comment.
