The world’s first recipient of a mechanical heart left hospital today. Ex-movie stuntman Arthur Cornhill, 62, had the device fitted in August. Heart surgeon Frank Wells of the Papworth Hospital in Cambridgeshire, where the operation took place, says it’s still early days.
