Michael Parkinson interviews former UK Prime Minister, Edward Heath. He says the people of Britain support him and not his successor as Conservative Party leader, Margaret Thatcher, on Europe and European union and sets out why each of her claims are incorrect. He’s challenging her to a televised debate so the matter can be fully aired. Heath, who took Britain into the European Common Market, is also demanding current Prime Minister John Major tackles the issue and comments on expansion of the EEC.
