- Catherine Field reports from Dresden in Germany following the official visit of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh for a service of remembrance at Kreuzkirche Cathedral aimed at reconciliation for the carpet bombing by allied bombers during the Second World War. It followed German Federal President Richard von Weizsacker’s visit to Coventry for a similar service. Includes excerpts from sermon (in German) by Prince Philip and by Kurt Biedenkopf, Saxony’s premier (in English); vox pop with female members of congregation.
