- A British Rail driver who crashed his passenger train whilst under the influence of alcohol has been jailed for 9 months at the Old Bailey. 41 year-old Stephen Peckham, from Carmichael Road, South Norwood, London, caused nearly half a million pounds’ worth of damage when his train smashed into the buffers at Tattenham Corner station on 01/12/93.
