- Description
- Tim Crooks reports from the Old Bailey in London following the collapse of the Rachel Nickell murder trial and the acquittal of the defendant, Colin Stagg. The Law Society says the way police obtain confessions will have to be drastically changed. The police were severely reprimanded by Mr Justice Ognall who described the undercover operation to catch the killer as deceptive conduct of the grossest kind, with the methods used raising concerns over the use of psychological profiles in criminal investigations. Includes reaction outside court from Andrew Nickell, father; Colin Stagg.
