Mark Phillips reports on fears in the banking and building society sector over security and staff safety and the police hunt in Warwickshire for a gang of armed robbers after the murder of a Woolwich building society manageress in a £15,000 raid. 38-year-old Carol Wardell was abducted from her home in Meriden, her husband Gordon Wardell was left bound and gagged.
