- Description
- Actor Roy Scheider talks to Carol Allen about a Turner Network Television (TNT) documentary in which he was involved, entitled Portrait of the Soviet Union, about life for the average Russian. The film was shot by a British film company and broadcast in both America and Russia. Scheider explains what he learned and suggests glasnost and perestroika are happening at this time because so much information has filtered into the Soviet media that the Government can no longer deny people information. As a result of Scheider’s experience, it became necessary to change the script of The Fourth War to reflect contemporary Russia. Interview conducted for the Artbeat programme.
