Jason Kaye reports from Aldwych tube station in central London on the proposed closure of two shuttle services on the London Underground network for economic reasons. Aldwych station is to close on 30/09/94 while the Essex shuttle is to remain open for 3 years, with the intention of selling it to a private operator.
