In his first major speech since Labour’s National Executive backed his multilateral policy of negotiating away nuclear weapons, Neil Kinnock told his audience at the Welsh Labour Conference in Llandudno that he was asking them to do what is right for the next 30 years. Kinnock’s speech came amid growing opposition from the unions and the party’s left-wingers. Political correspondent Paul Rowley reports from Llandudno on Kinnock’s words and how they were received.
