- Description
- Labour leader Neil Kinnock’s campaign to set the party on the road to new realism went ahead this morning with a series of policy victories in the crucial National Executive talks. One session saw the endorsement of a new elected chamber to replace the House of Lords and a defeat for the hard left which wanted to push through a motion committing Labour to pulling troops out of Northern Ireland. From Labour Party headquarters, Elena Curti reports.
